About Jin Shin Jyutsu ® Physio Philosophy
Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient Japanese healing art of energy balancing. It helps the body to release tension and return to a relaxed physical, mental and spiritual state. JSJ can balance and restore life force (ki) or (chi) energy.
According to the record of ancient things —The Kojiki, written in 712 AD, contains the earliest written record of JSJ. Jin Shin Jyutsu literally translated means ‘The Art of the Creator through Compassionate Man’. Through the studies and dedication of philosopher and teacher Master Jiro Muari, the art was revived and this precious gift was brought to the west by his student, Mary Burmeister in the 1950’s.
How can Jin Shin Jyutsu help you?
JSJ is a gentle and but very powerful way of helping the body to help itself. It is effective for the treatment of all medical conditions as a complimentary therapy by keeping the body healthy and happy.
Practicing JSJ self help will engrain the philosophy of living effortlessly, just being. Jin Shin Jyutsu engages 26 ‘safety energy locks’ along a network of energy pathways that nourish life within the body. Blocked energy locks cause disharmony ranging from a simple headache to projects such as cancer. What can I expect at a session?
Jin Shin Jyutsu does not involve massage, manipulation of bones or muscles. It is best to receive JSJ on an empty stomach. I would ask you to remove your wrist watch and belt.
You will lie face up on the massage table fully clothed. After observing the body I will listen to the pulse at the wrist. My fingertips are then placed over clothing in specific combinations. This is called jumper cabling. As energy shifts, you may find yourself drifting off to sleep. When finished you will have time to rest. Allow 1- 1 1/2 hrs. for the treatment. Some children may require less time. You may be given ‘self help’ to practice at home which will compliment your session.
Initial treatment requires 3 sessions within a week if possible. It is important to do this to affect a change. Further treatment may be required depending on the project. You will definitely see an improvement in your condition as you continue harmonizing.
